Hometrust has some innovative programs, low fixed mortgage penalties on the AAA side and very good rental offsets for AAA and B business. I use their programs for my cleints and its a pleasure to work with them.

The 5 years during which I had a mortgage with Home Trust was a very bad experience. Unlike pretty much every other financial institution in Canada, Home Trust does not allow clients to pay their mortgage in advance. Also, the penalties for cancelling the mortgage if you want to pay in advance or move your mortgage to another financial institution are extremely high compared to other Canadian financial institutions.Beware of doing business with these guys.

Do not deal with this company. there interest rates are ridiculous. they sent my best friend a Recession Notices forcefully removing his property due to him owning a cryto related business. I have a bad experience with the mortgage lady Danielle Loiuseo. She called for employment verification which was recorded my by company and she lied to my broker that the hr hung up on her and the secretary called her with a private number. Both the secretary and hr was question by my employer but after my company listen to the recording they found out that she lied.Never gave my broker any updates regarding the status. But lied in order to reject someone application. Also, she stated that the pay slip was inconstancy without calculating it biweekly and verifying it with the client bank statement. She is a racist, dishonest and unfit to be be working with Home trust funding mortgage .

Poor customer service

I’ve had the extreme pleasure of working with Mohammed Boutaleb for the refinancing of my mortgage and he has simply exceeded my expectations. This is the first time I am doing a refinancing and he has been so helpful throughout the whole process. It has been 3 years I am with Home Trust and until now, I am very pleased and don’t have any bad comments to make. Thank you Mohammed and the rest of the team for being just amazing!
